Breaking Barriers with Home Testing

The number of people living with HIV in Germany is estimated to exceed 90,000.

Even more concerning: approximately 8,600 individuals are unaware of their HIV infection.*

Two major factors contribute to this high number of undiagnosed cases: the stigma surrounding HIV and the often time-consuming testing processes. Stigma can discourage individuals from openly accessing healthcare services, while lengthy processes-such as scheduling appointments and traveling to testing facilities-can deter people from getting tested.

Home testing for HIV, as well as other STDs, offers a transformative solution.

By enabling individuals to perform tests privately and more quickly, at-home testing can encourage regular screening. This improves the likelihood of early detection and timely treatment, ultimately enhancing health outcomes.
